Ellender baseball team plans alumni/fan day

The Ellender baseball team will be hold its first annual alumni/fan day on Saturday at the Patriot Battlefield behind the school.

The Patriots Alumni Day will give the community an opportunity to meet and greet the 2012 Patriots baseball team, visit with former Ellender alumni players and enjoy food, music and entertainment for the day. The event will consist of a home-run derby, games and an evening social.

The cost to play in the games and attend the social is $20 and the entry fee for the home-run derby is $5.

Start time for the home-run derby is 10 a.m.

Additional guests are welcome to come to the social for $5 and enjoy food, music, baseball and other entertainment. There will be a kid's play area for children to enjoy with games and inflatable bouncers.

Donations are welcomed and needed.
