Lady Terriers split Saturday's matches


The Vandebilt Catholic volleyball team picked up a win and loss during Saturday's matches at Country Day in Metairie.



The Lady Terriers (14-12 overall) opened the day with a 25-9, 23-25, 25-10, 25-11 win over Parkview Baptist. Erin Crane led Vandebilt with 11 kills and added eight digs. Other top performers were Kristen Kurtz (10 kills), Melanie Sanci (eight kills, eight digs), Taylor Boudreaux (five kills), Allie Beyer (34 assists) and Maggie Hamilton (20 digs).



In Saturday's second match, the Lady Terriers fell to Country Day, 25-15, 26-24, 25-20. Top performers were Crane (six kills, 11 digs), Boudreaux (five kills, two blocks), Lindsey Lerille (five kills), Beyer (21 assists) and Hamilton (14 digs).



LADY BRAVES FARE WELL



At the Dig Pink Tournament at the Alario Center in Westwego, H.L. Bourgeois (20-6) advanced to the tournament semifinal before losing to East Ascension on Saturday.

H.L. Bourgeois reached the semifinals with wins over Barbe, L.W. Higgins, Sacred Heart-Grand Coteau and Academy Sacred Heart of New Orleans. Scores and stats from all matches were not available.



LADY GATORS FINISH 0-3

At the Lutcher Tournament, South Terrebonne (8-17) dropped three matches to Lutcher (25-8, 25-15), Derstrehan (26-24, 23-25, 17-15) and Riverside Academy (25-20, 21-25, 15-9) on Saturday.

Statistical leaders for the Lady Gators were Julia LeBlanc (21 kills, three blocks, six digs), Sarah LeBouef (eight kills, 12 digs, three aces), Courtney Clement (six kills, block), Amber Authement (15 assists), Katelyn Blanchard (14 assists), Megan Trosclair (eight digs) and Taylor Dupre (11 digs).
