Braves sink Ehret, 67-50


MARRERO – H.L. Bourgeois’ boys basketball team improved to 4-1 with a 67-50 nondistrict victory behind 24 points from Isaac Allridge and 19 points from Marlin Bonvillain.

The Braves trailed 11-8 after the first quarter, led 23-20 at halftime and led 43-38 heading into the fourth quarter.

 

ASSUMPTION 48,

WHITE CASTLE 43 (BOYS)

At the Bruly Tournament, the Mustangs got 14 points from Kenyatta Charles and 12 points from Malik Mills in improving to 2-3 on the season.

Assumption led 24-16 at halftime and plays East Iberville at 5 today in the tourney.

 

E.D. WHITE CATHOLIC 36,

JEANERETTE 34 (BOYS)

At the Centerville Tournament, Stephen LeBouef scored 20 points and the Cardinals won in double overtime to move to the semifinals of the tournament at 8 tonight.

The Cardinals led 18-8 at halftime.

 

BREAUX BRIDGE 57,

TERREBONNE 48 (GIRLS)

At the White Castle Tournament, the Lady Tigers got 14 points from Darian Dees and 12 points from Mercy Davis but fell to 4-3 on the season.

Terrebonne led 11-9 after the first quarter and trailed 29-27 at halftime and 40-37 entering the fourth quarter. The Lady Tigers play at 10 a.m. Saturday in the consolation bracket.

 

MT. CARMEL 64,

THIBODAUX 42 (GIRLS)

At the County Day Tournament in Metairie, the Lady Tigers fell to 1-1 and will play at 6:30 tonight in the tourney.

Thibodaux got 16 points from Eris Stove and seven points each from Elise Plaisance and Jocelyn Daggs.

 

E.D. WHITE CATHOLIC 49,

FONTAINEBLEAU 34 (GIRLS)

At the St. Martin's Tournament in Metairie, the Lady Cardinals got 16 points from Emily Weimer, 13 points from Jordan Gros and 12 points from Genna Larose in moving to 2-0 on the season.

E.D. White led 24-13 at halftime and will play South Plaquemines at 5 today in the tourney.

 

HOUMA CHRISTIAN 46,

BERWICK 42 (GIRLS)

At the Centerville Tournament, the Lady Warriors improved to 1-0 on the season with the overtime victory.

Houma Christian trailed 7-6 after the first quarter and 16-15 at halftime, but led 31-27 after the third quarter.

Regulation ended tied at 39.

Kira Coleman scored 17 points for the Lady Warriors, Alicia Johnson had 12 points, and Brenna Harding added eight.

Houma Christian plays again in the event at noon on Saturday.
