HLB girls win in soccer

NEW IBERIA — Catherine Schexnayder scored two goals to lift the H.L. Bourgeois Lady Braves to a 4-2 win over New Iberia in a District 7-I soccer match on Saturday.

Faylee Sokolowiski and Tandy Dubois each added a goal for the Lady Braves (9-3-2 overall, 4-3 in district).

In boys action, New Iberia posted a 5-0 win over H.L. Bourgeois (3-7, 2-5 in district).
