Vandebilt Catholic’s boys soccer team defeated Beau Chene, 3-1, in Saturday’s nondistrict match in Arnaudville.
Beau Chene was ranked No. 1 in last week’s Louisiana High School Soccer Association Division II poll.
“I am very proud of the boys with the way they played. I was very pleased with our defense. They showed they have the ability to bounce after having a tough loss on Tuesday,” Vandebilt coach Matt Kelso said.
The Terriers led 2-1 at halftime behind a couple of goals from Seth Miller and Adam Frost.
Frost added his second goal of the match in the second half to give the Terriers a 3-1 lead.
