H.L. Bourgeois shuts out Central Lafourche, 4-0

MATHEWS – Pitchers Nick Bonvillain and Bobby Ellender combined to lead the H.L. Bourgeois to a 4-0 win over Central Lafourche in Friday’s District 7-5A game.
Bonvillain pitched four innings to get the win for the Braves, and Ellender pitched three innings of relief.
DeAndre Woods went 2-for-4 to lead the Braves (10-11, 3-4 in District 7-5A).
Benton Pierce suffered the loss for the Trojans (7-18, 5-2 in district).
NEW IBERIA 6, THIBODAUX 0
At New Iberia, the Tigers fell to 9-10 overall and 3-3 in District 7-5A with Friday's loss.
Wesley Lassere was the losing pitcher. New Iberia scored five unearned runs.
ELLENDER 11, MORGAN CITY 7
At Morgan City, Matt Ledet picked up the complete-game win to lead the Patriots (4-17, 3-4 in District 8-4A).
Ledet also went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBIs. Other offensive leaders were Deric Hebert (3-for-4, three-run homer, four RBIs), Brent Duplantis (2-for-4, three runs) and Dylan Billiot (1-for-4, three RBIs).
TEURLINGS CATHOLIC 13, E.D. WHITE CATHOLIC 5
At Thibodaux, the Cardinals fell to 19-3 overall with Friday's nondistrict loss.
Logan Barbera led E.D. White's offense, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
COUNTRY DAY 9, HOUMA CHRISTIAN 1
At Metairie, the Warriors fell to 10-12 and 3-3 in District 10-1A with Friday's loss.
Connor Bates was the losing pitcher, giving up seven runs (two earned) on five hits with five walks and nine strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. Dakota Durks pitched 1 1/3 innings of relief.
Houma Christian's leading hitters were Devin Battaglia (2-for-3, run) and John Broussard (1-for-3).
COVENANT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 15, OXFORD ACADEMY (N.Y.) 2
At the Disney Spring Training Tournament in Orlando, Fla., the Lions improved to 14-9 overall with Friday's win.
The Lions scored two runs in the first, second and fifth innings, three in the sixth and six in the seventh. Finishing with multiple hits were Bryce LaFont (3-for-4, two runs, five RBIs), Caleb Ledet (2-for-3, three runs) and Cullen Ledet (2-for-5, run, five RBIs)
Cullen Ledet picked up the complete-game win, giving up two runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
