Houma Junior High wins parish softball tourney

The Houma Junior High School girls softball team won the Terrebonne Parish Junior High Tournament recently and finished the season at 29-14 overall.

In the parish tourney, the team defeated Vandebilt Catholic 14-13, and the winning pitcher was Carley Clement.

The Lady Bulldogs also defeated Houma Christian 5-4, and the winning pitcher was Kelsey Cunningham.

Houma Junior High also topped South Terrebonne 13-3 with Clement getting the win in the circle.

In the finals, the Lady Bulldogs defeated South Terrebonne, 11-4, and Cunningham notched the win.

Haley Agullard, Alyssa Dobson, Bree Agullard, Lexie Neil, Victoria Woods, Catilin Turner, Sarah Falgout and Haley Weeks led the Lady Bulldogs at the plate during the tourney.
