LBA Naturals continue play at tournament

The LBA Naturals Blue, a 12-and-under USSSA select team from Houma, continued its action at a 104-team national tournament of 12-year-old teams on Monday at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, N.Y.

The LBA Naturals won their first game, 11-8, over the Grow 2 Pro of New York, while the second game against the Menomonee Falls Junior Indians of Wisconsin was postponed in the second inning due to rain.

The Naturals, who were the home team against Menomonee Falls, were leading 4-0 in the top of the second inning. The game will resume at 7 a.m. Tuesday, and the rest of the scheduled game times were pushed back an hour.

The Naturals will also play two regular schedule games on Tuesday against the Doylestown Tigers of Michigan at 11 a.m. and the Elmhurst Cougars at 4:30 p.m. The Naturals game against Doylestown will be streamed live on the internet at http://www.cooperstowndreamspark.com

Cameron Folse blasted two home runs and went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Naturals (3-0) over Grow 2 Pro. Gavin Dugas, Thailer Lovell and Braden Whatley each added solo home runs for the Naturals.
